Term of Trade

General

At Borobudur Silver we conduct our business at the retail and corporate levels, whilst recognizing the importance of the customer is of paramount importance to us. The following sections describe our terms of trade and conditions to be borne whilst making your order. Please read through them carefully before making your selection.

Conditions of Pricing and Payment

Prices are quoted in $US and are current and correct at the time this website was updated. Borobudur Silver reserves the right the change prices at their discretion. Customers must also be aware that prices are subject to further change depending on the prevailing world market price of silver at the time an order/deposit is placed.

As a general guideline we accept several methods of accounts payable including:

Cash
Paypal
Checks Drawn on an Indonesian Bank (Orders within Indonesia)
Telegraphic Transfer
Letter of Credit (must meet the minimum requirement)
All orders must be paid in full before we dispatch Goods & Documents on export orders or local orders (orders within Indonesia).
A deposit of 30% – 50% is required before the production of orders takes place (excluding orders on Letter of Credit Terms). Production will start upon receipt of fax or original copy of Bank Transfer Document.

Returns Policy

Borobudur Silver offers a 28-day return policy on all jewellery items less our original shipping cost. Change of mind returns will not be accepted for customized items (e.g. ring resizing or engraving ect.)
We are happy to discuss options of repair, replacement, refund, exchange or credit for the product depending on its availability. However replacement will most likely be the probable outcome of returned items. The replacement item will be of equal or greater value. Any refunds will have our cost of shipping deducted.

In the case of cancellation if an order has been accepted, customers must note deposits are non-refundable. Orders which are not accepted by customers for a period of/greater than 1 month(s) without any confirmation will be declared ‘unaccepted’. Borobudur Silver reserves the right to deem orders acceptable or unacceptable at their will given the aforementioned conditions

Stock Listings

It is advised that the current listings of jewelry are not exhaustive; a majority of the featured jewelry pieces are available in stock. If otherwise indicated, our dedicated team of silversmiths will complete orders upon request if the selected jewelry pieces are not in stock. Consequently shipping and handling will be scheduled at a later date as to ensure the transaction is complete and fulfilled to customer requirements. The general guideline for delivery times is as follows:

Product in stock: 1-2 weeks after deposit is received on the order
Product not in stock: 4-6 weeks after deposit is received on the order

Corporate

While a majority of our business is focused at the retail level, our corporate clients must be made aware on the minimal requirements necessary to complete an order. Generally the following should be met for production to begin:

Minimum Order Value: US$500 (excluding S&H)
Minimum Order for LC: US$5,000
Minimum Order Quantity: 10pcs per model
Borobudur Silver reserves the right to accept or reject an order prior to placement if it does not fall between the above guidelines.

Shipping and Tracking:

For shipping and product distribution, Borobudur Silver offers competitive prices via DHL as shipping and handling protocol. If noted otherwise, a shipping company can be utilized upon customer request; we recommend UPS, EMS, FedEx, and TNT as potential shipping agents.

Further, for tracking your order and ensuring its process is up to date, Borobudur Silver recommends using the consistent shipping Protocol. I.e. if shipped via FedEx, log onto www.fedex.com and utilize their tracking system. When your order has been shipped, you will receive an email notification with a confirmation of shipment and a tracking number. You can use this number to track for Federal Express at the respective website.

Force Majeure

Borobudur Silver shall not be liable for any delay in or failure to perform any of its obligations hereunder if the delay or failure is due to causes outside reasonable control of our operations, ie acts of god, riots, floods, fires, earthquakes, wars , civil commotions etc

Information / Data Protection

Borobudur Silver will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure. However if the Supplier is negligent, the Supplier will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you.

Bank Account Information

For online banking, direct deposits for accounts payable and payments to Paypal, Borobudur Silver utilizes two banking accounts that encompass both the US Dollar, and the Indonesian Rupiah. Customers are advised to select the correct account that is consistent with the currency of the item.
